Introducing Resage: The Reading App that Learns How You Read

Today, we are thrilled to release the first version of Resage, a dedicated Mac reading application designed for those who want to read deeply and think clearly with their own files.

In a world filled with stateless chatbots, Resage represents a different approach to AI-assisted reading. It is not just a general-purpose chat prompt with a PDF attached. It is a native, clean reading interface that respects your attention, keeps your files completely private, and builds a personalized memory of what you know.

The Core Features of Resage

Here is what makes Resage unique from the very first day:

1. A Calm Reader First

We believe reading requires focus. Resage displays your files as beautiful, full-page ebooks. The AI companion is entirely unobtrusive, resting as a simple discussion bar at the bottom of the screen. It only appears when you ask a question.

2. A Compounding Learner Model

Stateless chatbots treat you like a stranger every time you open a new window. Resage is built around a private learner model. As you read and ask questions across multiple files and documents, Resage builds a structured profile of what you understand, where you struggle, and what explanations work best for you. Over time, its answers become tailored specifically to your background.

3. Anchored Explanations

Every answer Resage provides is grounded in the actual text of your open file. When you click a citation, the reader jumps directly to that passage, letting you follow the author's logic without losing your place. If the AI is unsure, it will flag its uncertainty rather than hallucinating.

4. Digest: Complete On-Device Reading

Tap Digest and Resage reads through your entire document locally on your Mac. For scanned PDFs, it runs OCR automatically. Once digested, you can ask questions about the entire document from any page, not just the active screen.

Private by Design

Your library syncs through your own iCloud, and the core indexing and document understanding run locally on your Mac. We never upload your full files, and we never train models on your content.

Get Started

Resage is free to download and start using today. Download the Mac App Store version and import your first document to see how it reads alongside you.

Happy reading!
