What Resage is
Resage is a reading app with an AI reading companion. You read your own files in a full-page ebook reader, and an AI discussion bar at the bottom answers from the text in front of you. It remembers what you have read and discussed across books and conversations. It is a reader first, not a chatbot with a file attached.

Features
- A calm full-page reader for your own files, with adjustable fonts and sizing for reflowable formats.
- An AI discussion bar that stays out of the way. Ask about the current page, or select text and ask about that passage.
- Whole-file discussion. After cloud preparation you can query the entire file from any page.
- Text recognition for scanned PDFs, done during cloud preparation.
- Reading memory across books and conversations. You can turn it off or clear it at any time in Settings under Reading Memory.
- Grounded answers. When Resage draws on general knowledge instead of your text it says so, and any claim that the book says something comes with the passage it came from.
- One account across devices, so your library and reading progress follow you.
- An open-source Open in Resage plugin for Calibre to send books in with one click.
- Interface in English and Chinese. You can discuss your files in the language you write in.
Files, privacy and memory
- With your AI data-processing consent, newly imported books are uploaded for cloud preparation. Temporary uploaded originals are deleted when processing finishes, or within seven days if it cannot complete.
- Without consent, you can still read with lightweight local parsing and no cloud-preparation upload.
- Your content is never used for model training.
- Reading memory is stored on Resage's servers, tied to your account. It holds your discussions with the companion, the passages they quote, and short notes the AI keeps about you. It is kept until you clear it, delete the file it came from, or delete your account.
- Full terms: Privacy Policy.
Pricing
- Free to start, with a limited discussion allowance. Importing and reading are never metered. Cloud preparation, which includes text recognition, has its own monthly allowance: 3 books on Free, 30 on Plus.
- Resage Plus is $4.99 per month or $39.99 per year, with a larger discussion allowance.
