Copyright & DMCA

How resage works matters here. resage does not include any built-in library and does not host, store, or distribute users' books. Every book is imported by a user and stays on that user's own device and personal iCloud — it is never shared with, or made available to, any other user. resage is not a content-distribution platform.

We respect intellectual property and expect our users to do the same. Users are solely responsible for having the right to import and use the files they open in resage, as stated in our Terms of Use. If you nonetheless believe your copyrighted work has been used through resage in a way that infringes your rights, you can send us a notice as described below.

Submitting a copyright notice

To report a suspected infringement, email andylei.mc@gmail.com with the subject line "Copyright Notice", and include:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  2. A description of where the infringing material is located or how it relates to resage, with enough detail for us to locate it.
  3. Your contact information (name, email address, and where relevant, physical address and phone number).
  4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

What we do with a notice

When we receive a valid notice, we will review it and take appropriate action, which may include removing any associated data within our control and, where relevant, contacting or restricting the account of a user responsible. Because users' books reside on their own devices rather than on our servers, our ability to act is limited to information and accounts within our control.

Counter-notice

If you believe your content was affected by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to andylei.mc@gmail.com that includes: identification of the material and its prior location; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief it was affected in error; your contact information; and your physical or electronic signature.

Repeat infringers

We may restrict or terminate the accounts of users who are found to be repeat infringers.

Note on false claims

Under the DMCA, knowingly making a material misrepresentation in a copyright notice or counter-notice may expose you to liability for damages. Please make sure your report is accurate and made in good faith.
